One Year Suspended Cricket ban to Sri Lankan All Rounder Chamika Karunaratne

The Sri Lankan Cricket Board has imposed a one-year suspended cricket ban from all forms of cricket on the allrounder Chamika Karunaratne.

Sri Lanka Cricket has taken this decision in regard to a violation of the terms of the match contract agreement during the T20 World Cup 2022 cricket tournament held in Australia.

Sri Lanka Cricket says that Chamika Karunaratne has accepted all the points regarding the related incident on him.

Accordingly, if Chamika Karunaratne commits a similar offense, the relevant punishment will be applied.

Meanwhile, in addition to the suspension, Sri Lanka Cricket has also decided to impose a fine of 5000 US dollars on Chamika Karunaratne.
