Shimron Hetmyer Dropped from West Indies World Cup Squad after missing his flight.
West Indies attacking batsman Shimran Heitmyer has lost the opportunity to play in the Twenty20 World Cup this year.
He was dropped from the squad after he failed to reach his scheduled flight to Australia.
Due to the recent CPL tournament, the West Indian players who participated in the World Cup 2022 have left for Australia as a different group and Heitmayer had booked his flight for the first of October.
He has requested another date for it due to personal reasons.
Due to that request, a flight has been reserved for him again on October 3rd and that morning he informed the West Cricket Director Jimmy Adams that he would not be able to reach the airport on time.
Shamar Buks has been included in the West squad instead of Heitmayer, informing that he has no other option but to include another player in this kind of World Cup tournament.
