Sri Lanka vs Zimbabwe Warm-Up Match Results

Yesterday (11th), the Sri Lankan team managed to record a 33-run win against the Zimbabwean team in the first practice match under the World Cup cricket tournament 2022.
The Sri Lankan batsmen, who batted first in this match held at the Melbourne Stadium, recorded 188 runs for 5 wickets at the end of the scheduled 20 overs. In order to win, the Zimbabwean batsmen, who entered the field with the challenge of hitting the ball at an average speed of 9.45 per over, but they were only able to collect only 155 runs for 5 wickets due to the strong bowling of the Sri Lankan team.
Chasing the target, Zimbabwe’s front-line batsmen managed to collect 61 runs in the first 6 overs, but Chamika Karunaratne managed to stop the successful opening partnership of the zimbabwe team.
In bowling, Chamika Karunaratne and Maheesh Thiekshana took 2 wickets each while Dhananjaya de Silva took one wicket.
The top scorer with the bat was Kusal Mendis who scored 54 runs off 29 balls.
The second training match in which Sri Lanka will participate will be held tomorrow (13th) against Ireland.
